Women’s Bean Project
Women’s Bean Project is a Colorado-based non-profit social enterprise that supports women facing significant barriers to employment through on-the-job training, enabling them to create lasting change in their lives by establishing stepping stones to self-sufficiency.

Women’s Bean Project sells high-quality food products, including soups, baking mixes, spice blends and snacks. Each product is made and packaged by women in their 9 month transitional employment program.
Your Impact
Women’s Bean Project is 9-month transitional employment for women who have faced barriers to employment (e.g. incarceration, addiction, etc.). Participants in the program are hired as a production assistant and spend time working in our food manufacturing business, making and packaging all the food products we sell. Participants also spend time attending programming classes and receiving wrap-around support from the program team.
Participants work one-on-one with a case manager throughout their time in the program and work towards achieving individual goals. While working on the production floor, participants learn job readiness skills and work as part of a team. Programming classes focus on learning life skills and soft skills. During the final phase of the program participants work individually with a job coach as they establish their next steps in the workforce.
