BioLite is an energy social enterprise working to bring safe, affordable, renewable energy to every person on Earth. For every product sold, a person living in energy poverty gains access to safe lighting and charging.
BioLite sells headlamps, solar lanterns and string lights, power banks, solar panels, camp stoves, and smokeless fire pits for camping, travel, and home backup during outages. Sales of this outdoor gear help fund clean cookstoves and solar home systems for off-grid families.

More than 3 billion people still cook over smoky open fires, and that smoke is linked to over 4 million deaths a year. BioLite’s cookstoves cut emissions and particulate matter by up to 78%. Its solar home systems replace kerosene, helping students study after dark and helping small business owners stay open later. A family that switches to a BioLite stove can save about $173 a year on fuel. For households living at or below the poverty line, that’s around 15% of their income. To date, BioLite reports reaching 16.1 million people, offsetting 7.6 million tons of CO2 emissions, and working with 726 partners worldwide. In 2025, BioLite also removed plastic from its Range headlamp packaging, using molded pulp made from reclaimed bamboo and sugarcane waste instead.
