Green Pan
GreenPan helps families cook without “forever chemicals” by making nonstick cookware free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium. The company invented the first ceramic alternative to traditional nonstick coatings in 2007.

GreenPan sells ceramic nonstick and stainless steel cookware, bakeware, and small kitchen appliances. Each nonstick piece uses Thermolon, a plastic-free coating that starts with sand and will not release toxic fumes if overheated.
Your Impact
Lifelong friends Jan Helskens and Wim De Veirman founded GreenPan after seeing growing concerns about chemicals in traditional nonstick pans. Their Thermolon coating cures with up to 60% less CO2 than conventional nonstick coatings, and NSF has certified it, making it the first ceramic nonstick to earn that mark. GreenPan owns its factory, which lets it control its own standards, and it built an on-site wastewater facility that treats and reuses water from production. Most of the aluminum pans made in its factory contain at least 25% recycled aluminum, and the company aims to ship in recycled cardboard packaging. Good Housekeeping honored GreenPan's Valencia Pro collection with a Sustainable Innovation Award.
