Will & Atlas
Will & Atlas is a women-owned fair trade shop that partners with women artisans in Bangladesh, many of them mothers and grandmothers in communities facing poverty. Its artisan partners are nonprofits that pair fair-paying work with childcare, schooling, medical care and microloans.

Will & Atlas sells handwoven baskets, jute rugs, market totes, placemats, coasters and other home goods. Each piece is made from natural fibers like jute, palm leaf and hogla grass, so every purchase supports fair wages for the women who make it.
Your Impact
Most of Will & Atlas’s artisans live in low-income communities across Bangladesh, and many are women supporting their families. Its main artisan partners are local nonprofits founded in the 1980s that work directly with women makers. Beyond fair pay, these organizations give women access to childcare, schooling for their kids, medical care, financial training and microloans to grow their earning potential. Artisans can also work from home, so they can earn a living while caring for their families. Will & Atlas has followed the World Fair Trade Organization for nearly a decade and pledges to meet its 10 Principles of Fair Trade, including living wages, safe working conditions, no child labor, and gender equity. Its baskets are woven from renewable plant fibers like hogla grass, a lightweight but strong aquatic plant.
